I woke up this morning to the devastating news about the Chile earthquake. This one had a magnitude of 8.8. It seems natural disasters are becoming more frequent lately evident by my use of the words "this one." And now, Hawaii and many others are bracing for the tsunami expected to soon follow. Combine this latest natural disaster with the earthquake in Haiti and our recent quirky winter weather patterns in the U.S. and it makes you sit down and think. It would be too easy to assign these incidents any apocolyptic tones but, seriously, what is going on? I'm just not sure. My prayers go out to the people of Chile as they begin rescue efforts and the process of rebuilding from this disaster. If you're willing and able, please do what can to support relieve efforts.
